The 2008 USA Olympic basketball team is my favorite USA team ever assembled. People will always argue that the original Dream Team will always be number one, but everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinion. I'll save that argument for another post…
Anyways, it's Kobe Bean Bryant's 36th birthday today. In honor of his greatness, I felt like sharing this YouTube clip of his clutch performance during the 2008 Championship game. The Mamba put the team on his back, and you can clearly see the comradery between him and his teammates in this short video.
"victorlopez007" named the YouTube clip "Kobe Bryant's Clutchest Game 2008 Olympics USA"… What do you think?
I hope you all enjoyed the first two parts of this PEvault trilogy! It's now coming to an unfortunate end, but I must say---I had a blast visiting his place and taking all of these pictures! If you're into PE's as much as I am, this place was truly an awesome experience to say the least. A huge thank you goes out to PEvault for allowing me to visit a second time!
The rest of the photos were taken at his house. These PE's haven't quite made it to the vault just yet, but they'll eventually make it there once more PE's arrive! Before I took any pics, I HAD to take a quick photo at his famous pool in his backyard. This "SpurSniperSeven" pool is what he was known for during the NikeTalk days. I just chose one of his many Deion Sanders XI's to throw up on the pool. If you look closely, it's one of the rarest versions of the Deion XI. There is some sort of 3M piping along the ankles, and his number 21 stitched on the heels.
Enjoy the remainder of my PEvault visit! As always, shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions or leave any comments below!
And just for fun... Why not add some old NikeTalk.com "SpurSniperSeven" photos of his? I wish I could've seen a lot of these in person, but in all honesty, we seriously couldn't find them! He had way too many PE's to sort through!
Thanks for checking out Part One of my PEvault coverage! Before going forward, I just wanted to emphasize the sheer amount of pairs that I couldn't take pictures of due to time restrictions, camera battery life, etc. Believe me when I say that PEvault has almost every PE you can think of, if not in multiples and in different variations of each. There were so many pairs that I personally wanted to see, but we honestly couldn't find them in the vault...There were seriously that many PE's!
In the picture below, you can see how each rolling rack is filled with PE's on both sides from top to bottom. I'd say that his "PE Vault" went about 7-8 rows back, and about 6-7 racks from left to right. Regardless of the exact numbers, this vault was packed with an insane amount of heat!
On a side note, AirJordan XI PE's are pretty tough to come across in the PE collecting world because of the high demand. With that being said, this madman owns over 40 pairs in all shapes and sizes. When I asked him what his favorite shoe was in his entire collection, he didn't hesitate to say name drop his Deion Sanders XI PE cleats. He has about 10 pairs of Deion Sanders XI's (high tops, low tops, Redskins, Reds, etc.---all in multiple variations), but this particular version is his PE crown jewel by a long shot. He owns two DS pairs of these cleats in this exact variation, and trust me when I say that these pics don't do them any justice. You HAVE to hold them in person to truly understand how beautiful they are!
Enjoy the rest of Part Two! Don't hesitate to shoot me an email or leave a comment if you have any questions! And no, not a single pair is for sale or will ever be for sale.
Stay tuned for Part Three - The Finale up next!
This man has well over 1500 pairs of Player Exclusive shoes… Think about it for a second. Most people don't even own 150 pairs of shoes, let alone 15. I was at his place for over 7 hours, and we BARELY got through one fourth of his collection. This man was known to the world as "SpurSniperSeven" for the longest time on old sneaker forums. In the new-aged instagram world, he simply goes by @PEvault.
He said that only a small handful of people have ever seen his stash, and I am one of the lucky few to visit there twice. Here's a few links to my first visit…
I took a lot more pictures this time around...
Be on the lookout for Part Two coming soon...
I had the privilege of visiting one of the biggest PE collections in the world this past weekend. If you haven't heard of PEvault on Instagram, you will after my upcoming posts. It might take a little bit of time since I have to look over hundreds of photos from the visit, but it'll definitely be worth the wait! In the mean time, here's a quick picture for you guys to drool over...
Any AirJordan XI PE is tough to find. Why? 1) Because they're AirJordan XI's. 2) Because anyone who has them is hesitant to ever let them go. 3) Because the PE hoarder SpurSniperSeven (PEvault on instagram) owns over 50 pairs of AirJordan XI PEs.
These nubuck Deion Sanders XI's are no different. Only a handful of them are floating around, and it took years of patience to even find a pair for sale. I particularly wanted this pair because of the red sock liner, red pull tab, and the nubuck upper. The all patent pairs are nice, but I love the material contrast on this upper. You just don't see these everyday, and I can't even imagine sending these off to a new home.
I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts lately. I've been busy with moving into a new spot here in Portland, and it's been very time consuming!
I just wanted to share a very rare pair from my personal collection. This is an OG Weartest Sample for the AirJordan XI low I.E. The navy elephant print panel stands out so much against the contrasting white upper. I've only seen a few of these floating around, and I'm very fortunate to own a pair of these OG Samples!
Shout out to the good people at IndexPDX! This pic was from an old shindig we had when I first moved to Portland. What can you spot?
If you remember this original Undefeated IV auction screen, kudos to you! This was from almost a decade ago, and I remember drooling over every UNDFTD IV picture out there... After years of constant searching, it's still hard to believe that I have a pair in my collection! I remember how HUGE this news was, because it was the first JordanBrand collaboration with a major streetwear brand.
